Weekend Storm Could Bring Some Snow To Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- 2015 will start off sunny and chilly, but the first weekend of the New Year in Fairfield County could be a snowy one, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will reach the mid-30s on New Year's Day, with westerly winds at 9 to 17 mph.

Snow could threaten the area Saturday, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Rain and snow become more likely overnight with an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Wet weather could linger in the area Sunday, but temperatures will be in the mid-40s.
