Thunderstorms Are Likely In Fairfield Tuesday Night

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Clouds and rain will overrun Fairfield County on Tuesday ahead of overnight thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and a high of about 73. The chance of rain during the day is only about 30 percent.

Rain becomes much more likely in the evening and will likely bring some thunder and lightning with it. The chance of precipitation overnight is 80 percent with wind gusts up to 21 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms will linger in the area through Wednesday morning before gradually clearing with a high in the mid 70s.

Thursday will remain clear but cooler before showers return on Friday.
