Sunny Skies And Warm Temps Hit Fairfield After Overnight Snow

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A snow covering of about about 2 1/2 inches blanketed most of Fairfield County Sunday into Monday morning, with the highest amount accumulating in Fairfield at 3 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunny skies and warmer temperatures will be around throughout the day, with highs nearing 45 degrees, though the wind chill will make it seem cooler.

Monday night will be a clear one, with colder temperatures dipping down below freezing, to around 26 degrees, though winds will be slight.

Tuesday will bring increasing clouds, with a high near 47 degrees, and colder wind chill factors of between 20 and 30 degrees early in the day.

Clouds will stick around Tuesday night into Wednesday, when the air will warm up significantly reaching a high near 62 degrees.

Overnight showers are possible into Thursday, with temperatures dropping to around 42 degrees.

It will be partly sunny Thursday, with a high near 51 degrees, then showers will return Thursday night when the chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
