A more significant storm system will impact the area during the middle of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
Here is the National Weather Service's forecast for the rest of the week:
- Tuesday: Chance of snow after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. East wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
- Tuesday night: Rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely before midnight Tuesday, then rain and sleet likely between midnight and 3 a.m., and rain likely after 3 a.m. It will be cloudy, with a steady temperature around 34. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Northeast wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Little or no ice accumulation is expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half-inch is possible
- Wednesday: Rain. High near 47. Northeast wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter- and half-of-an inch possible.
- Wednesday night: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Temperature rising to around 53 by 4 a.m. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
- Thursday: Rain likely before noon, then a chance of showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
- Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.
