The precipitation will begin to develop in the area after 1 p.m. with rain and snow until 3 p.m. before it changes over to snow and sleet. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. But the total snow and sleet accumulation is expected to be less than a half-inch.
The snow and sleet is expected to change over to all rain after midnight with temperatures reaching about 38 degrees by 1 a.m. The chance of overnight rain is near 100 percent.
Wednesday will begin mostly cloudy but will gradually clear with a high temperature of about 48 degrees.
Thursday will be mostly sunny before rain moves through the region again on Friday afternoon.
