Rain Will Be Followed By Falling Temperatures In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The spring feeling Fairfield County residents felt on Monday won't last as a weather system rolls in Tuesday that will bring rain and falling temperatures, the National Weather Service said. 

Rain will move into Fairfield County on Tuesday and linger for most of the week.

Tuesday will remain mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. High temperatures will reach 46 degrees. 

Showers will linger Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures continue to drop. High temperatures will reach the low-40s. 

The threat of rain will continue Friday, but temperatures will begin to feel more spring-like with highs of about 54 degrees. 

Precipitation will finally move out of the area Saturday with partly sunny skies by the afternoon and highs of about 57 degrees. 

Sunday will be sunny with a high about 60 degrees.
