original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- An early morning snow squall Wednesday is causing a number of problems on roads and highways Wednesday across Fairfield County.
Here are some of the problems reported by the Connecticut Department of Transportation and others:

I-95 southbound is congested for 17 miles between Exits 31 and 14

The Merritt Parkway southbound is congested for 15 miles between Exits 50 and 40A.
- An accident on Route 7 south at Route 33/Westport Road in Wilton, backing up traffic to Sharp Hill Road.
- The right lane of the northbound Merritt Parkway is blocked near Exit 41 for Route 33 in Norwalk, causing delays back to Exit 40 for Main Avenue.
- An accident blocking the shoulder of I-95 south near Exit 3 in Greenwich is causing delays.
- Stanwich Road at Dingletown Road in Greenwich is closed.
