Heavy Rain Will Be Moving Into Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Sun will give way to clouds, rain and possibly accumulating ice in parts of Fairfield County on Friday night and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain will move into the area late Friday or early Saturday, mainly after 5 a.m. 

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Fairfield County due to potential freezing rain and ice accumulation overnight into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will climb above freezing Saturday, but rain will remain throughout the day. High temperatures will be about 43 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. 

Partly sunny skies will return on Sunday with a high in the mid-40s. 

The work week will begin with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures of about 48 degrees.
