Fairfield Could See Showers Tuesday Night

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Rain could return to Fairfield County Tuesday night while the day will be partly sunny, with temperatures up around 53 degrees, and while winds will be light, there could be gusts up to 23 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

There's a slight chance of showers overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, when skies will be mostly cloudy, bringing the temperatures down as low as 39 degrees. Winds will be light.

Wednesday brings morning showers, giving way to sunny skies later in the day, and warmer air as high as 64 degrees.

Clouds will shroud the overnight sky Wednesday night with temperatures diving as low as 43 degrees. Winds will be light and variable after midnight.

Finally, Thursday will be a sunny one, with temperatures as high as 63 degrees.

Showers return Thursday night, with a possible thunderstorm after midnight. Clouds will increase, with cooler air as low as 44 degrees. Thursday night could see from a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain, higher possibly in thunderstorms.

Friday will bring more showers, mainly before noon, then it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 57 degrees.

Clouds will continue to hover overhead Friday night when the mercury is expected to dip close to the freezing mark, around 33 degrees.
