Man Armed With BB Gun Taken Into Custody At Fairfield County Park A man armed with a BB gun has been taken into custody in Fairfield County after police received reports of an armed man at an area park. The incident began around noon on Wednesday, Jan. 6, when the Darien Police receive the notification of the man with what appeared to a rifle in the area of Woodland Park, said Sergeant James Palmieri. When officers located the suspect and attempted to make contact with him, he began to flee on foot with what appeared to be a rifle in his possession, Palmieri said.
