Employer Attacks Man Who Refused To Work On Unsafe Scaffold, Wilton Police Say An employer is facing multiple charges after police say he assaulted and threatened a worker who refused to work in unsafe conditions. Wilton Police received a complaint of an assault that occurred Wednesday, Dec. 5. The victim alleged that he was working for his employer at a residence in Wilton. The victim said his employer, 36-year-old William Escobar of Bridgeport, physically assaulted him because he refused to work on an unsafe scaffold.
