Woman, 19, Drowns While Swimming In CT Lake, Police Say A Connecticut woman died after slipping underwater while swimming at an area lake. The drowning took place in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday,  Aug. 11. Farmington Police Department received a 911 call reporting the 19-year-old female had slipped under the water for several minutes while swimming at Woodridge Lake, located in both the Town Farmington and the Town of West Hartford, authorities said. Person Found Dead In Burning Vehicle In CT, Police Say A person was found dead after a vehicle fire in Connecticut. The incident took place around 4 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3. when West Hartford Police were notified of a motor vehicle fire in the parking lot of 46 Kane Street, said West Hartford Capt. Michael Perruccio. The responding officer broke a window in an attempt to enter/view inside the vehicle, however, the vehicle was fully engulfed in fire, Perruccio said. ID Released For Woman Killed In CT House Fire A Connecticut woman killed in a single-family home fire has been identified by officials.  The fire, which took place on Elmfield Street home around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 prompted the evacuation of three residents, and killed one, in West Hartford, according to the West Hartford Fire Department. The person killed, a resident of the home, was identified as Holly Baron, 60, said Deputy Fire Marshal Robert Grimaldi.
