New Isaias Outage Update: Full Restoration Nearly Complete More Than Week After Storm It took more than a week, but nearly every Fairfield County resident has now finally had power restored following the wreckage of Tropical Storm Isaias. Utilizing more than 2,500 line and tree crews working nonstop to repair the damage and restore remaining outages following Isaias, crews restored power to more than 58,000 customers overnight. Number Of Power Outages In Fairfield County Surges In Afternoon With winds whipping between 20 and 30 mph and gusts approaching 65 mph in the area, thousands more are now without power as utility crews scramble to restore service to the region. Travel Delays Continue Following Danbury Dump Truck Crash Motorists can expect continued significant travel delays through the evening commute in Northern Fairfield County after a dump truck struck a pole, bringing down power lines earlier Monday. The crash took place around 10:10 a.m. Monday at 3 Plumtrees Road in Danbury when the truck, exiting a business with its bed extended struck the power lines over the roadway, said Danbury PD Det.
