Norwalk Deputy Fire Marshal Dies At Age 47 A much beloved Fairfield County fire marshall has died after a short battle with cancer. Norwalk Deputy Fire Marshal Luca Feola was 47. He died on Thursday, Nov. 2, said Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling. Feola served in the Norwalk Fire Department for nearly 20 years. He started as a firefighter in 2004 and was promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal in 2011.  Feola grew up in Norwalk and was well-loved by the Norwalk Fire Department and the larger community, Rilling said. Malloy has ordered all U.S. and state flags in the state be lowered to half-staff in honor of a state police trooper from Norwalk who died Thursday.
