Cop Struck By Bullet Fired From Vehicle On I-84
A Connecticut undercover police officer was struck by a bullet while conducting a surveillance operation on Chase Parkway at the I-84 East entrance ramp, according to authorities. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16 in Waterbury. A 41-year-old Connecticut man is accused of running a business to illegally smuggle people from Brazil to the United States and extorting his clients during their journey. A 50-year-old woman from New York City was busted during a prostitution sting in Connecticut. Miae Park, of Whitestone, was charged with prostitution by members of the Simsbury Police Department after being arrested during an undercover operation at Green Reflexology on Farms Village Road in Simsbury.
