Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Spills Fuel On Snow-Covered I-84 Stretch
Fuel had to be cleaned from a snow-covered stretch of Interstate 84 in Connecticut following a crash involving a tractor-trailer. The crash happened in Tolland County on Tuesday morning, Feb. 28, when an Amazon tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 84 westbound in Willington between Exit 71 and Exit 72, according to state police. The tractor-trailer became jackknifed and spilled fuel as a result of the crash, police said. Lanes Reopen After I-95 Crash In Fairfield County
This story has been updated. Lanes on a stretch of I-95 have reopened after being closed most of Saturday morning, June 18 following a tractor-trailer crash. The crash happened southbound between exits 14 and 13 at 5 a.m. A tractor-trailer truck in the breakdown lane was waiting to have a tire repaired when another tractor-trailer struck it, Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Edward Prescott said. Crash Update: Eastbound I-84 Still Closed Following Crash, State Police Say
A section of I-84 has reopened following a fiery rollover crash by a tractor-trailer that spilled lumber across the roadway in Northern Fairfield County. As of 3 p.m., westbound lanes of travel had reopened, with eastbound lanes still closed to traffic, state police said. The crash took place just before 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, March 30 near Exit 13 in Newtown, Connecticut State Police said. I-84 Stretch Reopens After Crash Involving Overturned Tractor-Trailer
A crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer caused the hours-long closure of a stretch of I-84. The closure was on the eastbound side near Exit 4 in Danbury on Tuesday morning, Oct. 13. The crash occurred just after 6:30 a.m. and the lanes remain closed during the accident investigation by Connecticut State Police through about 10:30 a.m., when the lanes reopened. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Hours-Long I-95 Delays
This story has been updated. There were delays of around two hours on a stretch of I-95 after a tractor-trailer crash in Fairfield County. The crash happened on the northbound side Friday morning, Aug. 21 at around 4 a.m., initially shutting down all lanes in Darien between Noroton Avenue/Exit 10 and Route 1/Exit 11. One lane reopened around daybreak with traffic backed up to Harvard Avenue/West Avenue (Exit 6) in Stamford. The highway did not fully reopen until the end of the morning commute.
