Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton To Announce Political Future On Tuesday DANBURY, Conn. — After a snowstorm cancellation,  Mayor Mark Boughton is inviting supporters to attend a "special election announcement" in downtown Danbury where he is expected to launch his campaign for governor.  "After a year of exploring a run for statewide office, I have reached a decision on participating in the 2018 election," Boughton said on his Facebook page.
