Four Injured In Head-On Crash In Newtown Four people were injured — some seriously — over the weekend in a Fairfield County crash, authorities said.  The crash was reported Sunday, Feb. 2, in Newtown on Toddy Hill Road, the Botsford Fire Department said. Authorities said injuries ranged from minor to severe, but firefighters provided no further details on their conditions. 21-Year-Old Tries To Enter Home After Stolen Vehicle Crash In Fairfield County, Police Say A 21-year-old Fairfield County man is behind bars after allegedly fleeing from a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle and trying to break into a home to get away. Danbury resident Joao Gabriel Almeida-Bastos was nabbed around 11:30 a.m., Sunday, July 7, on Toddy Hill Road in Newtown. According to Lt. Dean's List Student Killed In Crash Was HS Football Player In Fairfield County The 22-year-old Fairfield County college student who died in a vehicle crash was a well-known football and rugby player. Brandon Hensel, of Newtown, was killed around 5 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 28 on Toddy Hill Road in Newtown, according to police. Hensel, who was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer, was discovered on a property on Quarry Ridge Road and was transported by Newtown Ambulance to Danbury Hospital where he died on Monday, March 1, said Newtown PD Lieutenant Aaron Bahamonde.
