Teen Dies Week After Being Shot In Head In Bridgeport
A 17-year-old boy had died days after he was found shot in the head in Connecticut. Romain Sterling of Bridgeport died on Wednesday, April 17, from injuries sustained in the shooting that took place on Wednesday, April 10, along Park Avenue, said Capt. 2 Dead Following Shootout In Bridgeport
Two men are dead in Fairfield County following a shootout during a disagreement. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 2:45 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12 in the 100 block of Carleton Avenue. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to the area after receiving ShotSpotter notification of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 21-year-old New Haven County resident identified as Travis Bush of Ansonia, lying face down in the street on Carleton Avenue, Gilleran said. Woman Who Allegedly Helped Fairfield County Murder Suspect Flee Nabbed by US Marshals
A woman who helped a man wanted for the murder of a pregnant Fairfield County woman has been charged in connection with helping him escape. Melaine Castro, age 21, of Bridgeport, was nabbed by the US Marshals on Thursday, July 14 in connection with the Saturday, May 28 murder of 30-year-old Marisol Dumeng. Fairfield County Woman Shot To Death, Police Say
A 30-year-old Fairfield County woman was found shot to death after police responded to a call for an unresponsive person. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 5:20 a.m., Saturday, May 28, at 40 Knoll Place. Marisol Dumeng, of Bridgeport, was found after police responded to 40 Knoll Place on a report of an unresponsive woman who appeared to have been shot, said Capt. A 16-year-old has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of another teen while a group played with a gun in Fairfield County The incident took place on Monday, Oct. 11, when 16-year-old Nigel Powell sustained a fatal gunshot wound while inside a residence on Valley Avenue in Bridgeport. Fairfield County Man Shot Twice Arrested At Hospital On Warrants, Police Say
A Fairfield County man who was shot twice was later arrested on two active warrants while at the hospital. The incident started around 2 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, when the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received a shot spotter activation in the 500 block of Noble Avenue - two rounds. Minutes later patrol officers were notified that a person had been shot at that location. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Mario Cruz of Bridgeport, was suffering from what appeared to be two gunshot wounds.
