54.3M Americans Traveling 50 Miles Or More From Home Over Thanksgiving
Hitting the road over Thanksgiving time? You're not alone. To say the least. Much of America is as well - 54 million, to be exact, according to AAA. These numbers make for the highest travel rates recorded since 2005. Dangerous Wind Chills: Thanksgiving Could Be Coldest In 147 Years
Get set for the coldest Thanksgiving in memory with potentially record-low temperatures carrying over into Black Friday. The cold air is already in place on Thanksgiving Eve Day, which will be partly sunny. Wednesday's high temperature will be around 40 degrees, but with winds between 5-15 mph and gusts up to 30 mph, it will feel like it's in the upper 20s during the day and between 5 and 15 degrees overnight as the low temperature plummets to 15 degrees. Alberta Clipper System Will Sweep Through Area Before Busy Thanksgiving Eve Travel Day
An Alberta Clipper will sweep through the area overnight Monday into Tuesday, bringing snowfall far north and rain elsewhere before temperatures drop dramatically on Thanksgiving Day. Precipitation will arrive sometime after 10 p.m. Monday. Areas south of I-84 will see all rain, with the chance of rain continuing through around noontime Tuesday.
