Customer Injured When Car Drives Through Front Of Area Big Y Supermarket, Police Say One person was injured after a car hit a Big Y supermarket in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Stratford around 11:56 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, when Stratford Police responded to the store on Hawley Lane to investigate a car that struck the building, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a car had driven through the front bay door and struck a customer, he said. The injured customer was transported to a local hospital with non- life-threatening injuries. The incident is still under investigation.

Man Nabbed In Citgo Gas Station Burglary/Robbery, Police Say A 47-year-old man was nabbed for an alleged early morning robbery and damage to a Stratford Citgo Gas station. The incident took place around 115 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the station located at 805 Main Street, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. Investigators from the Stratford Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating several suspects who were caught recklessly riding dirt bikes and ATVs on multiple area roadways. In the video, the suspects can be seen doing wheelies, crossing double yellow lines and speeding away. Some of the motorists were without helmets, while others were masked. Several Remain Hospitalized After 12 Injured In Stratford Crash, Police Say Several people remained hospitalized following a head-on crash of two minivans in Stratford that injured 12 people over the weekend. The crash took place around 1 p.m., Saturday, July 20, near the intersection of Main Street and Putney Valley Way, Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti said. The injured, including some children, were transported to St Vincent's and Bridgeport hospitals.  The crash remains under investigation.
