Authorities Seek Info After CT Firefighter's Car Broken Into, Gear Stolen Authorities are investigating after a Connecticut firefighter's car was broken into and her firefighting gear was stolen. The Deep River Fire Department, located in Middlesex County, announced that the car break-in happened during the night of Saturday, April 16. "One of our members had her car broken into last night," the fire department announced on Sunday, April 17. "For whatever reason the people who did this thought it would be nice to take the structural firefighting gear as well."
