Tommie Jackson was hit around 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, in Stamford on Wire Mill Road by a Stamford Police SUV driven by Officer Zachary Lockwood, age 24. At the time of the crash, Lockwood, who was responding to a call, was traveling eastbound on Wire Mill Road, police said. In this area of Wire Mill Road, there is a right curve. State Police Investigating Untimely Death Of CT Man State Police are investigating the untimely death of a Connecticut man. The incident took place in New Haven County in Oxford just before midnight on Monday, June 20. Officers from the Oxford Resident Trooper’s office and emergency services responded to 21 Pawnee Road for a man in cardiac arrest, said state police. Upon the arrival of first responders, the man was pronounced dead on the scene, state police said. 'Dogged' Detective Work Leads To Recovery Of Pet Stolen In Fairfield It took a few months, but Connecticut State Police detectives were able to locate a family dog that went missing in February of this year. In the very early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 2, as much of the state was recovering from a major snowstorm, a Mercedes containing a family dog – Cindy – was stolen from the northbound Fairfield Service Plaza on I-95 in Fairfield. The theft of Cindy, a Maltese, occurred when two men pulled up in a Porsche beside Cindy's owner while she was pumping gas, and allegedly one of the men jumped into her Mercedes and drove away, The stolen car was recovered …
