Health Risk Leads To Recall For Smoked Salmon Distributed In Connecticut A smoked salmon product that was shipped only to Connecticut and Rhode Island retailers is being recalled due to a Listeria Scare. Springfield Smoked Fish announced it is recalling one-pound packages of pre-sliced Nova Salmon that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause infections in young children, elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.  The recalled packages were distributed to customers in Rhode Island and Connecticut through retail stores.
