CT Woman Nabbed In Fatal Hit-Run Crash
Police captured a 45-year-old Connecticut woman for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 47-year-old woman. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 10 p.m., Friday, in the area of Main Street and Boston Avenue in East Haven. East Haven Police said Gina LaVacca, of East Haven, was found suffering from life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a sedan that fled the area. Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Vehicle In North Haven
A 60-year-old man was hit and killed after getting off a city bus in North Haven. The incident took place around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday after the New Haven resident exited a city bus on Quinnipiac Avenue near Cindy Lane, said the North Haven Police. While crossing the street on his way to work, a vehicle that was traveling south on Quinnipiac Avenue struck the man. He was pronounced deceased on scene, police said. Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Route 1 Hit-Run Involving Pickup Truck
Police are asking for the public's help in locating a pickup truck that struck a bicyclist and then fled the scene. The incident took place around 8:20 a.m. Sunday on Route 1, in Branford, said the Branford Police Department on Facebook. According to police, a white Ford Super Duty pickup truck driven by a white male struck the bicyclist near the intersection of Route 1 and Featherbed Lane. The driver then fled eastbound on Route 1.
