'I Miss Him Every Day': Woman Charged With Killing CT College Student In Hit-Run Crash A 41-year-old Connecticut woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2023 hit-and-run that killed a University of New Haven graduate student who was months away from graduating, authorities announced this week. Jill Augelli, of Naugatuck, was arrested on Nov. 18, following a year-long investigation into the fatal crash at the intersection of Whalley Avenue and Amity Road in West Haven that killed 23-year-old Priyanshu Agwal, police said. 37-Year-Old From Stratford Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash A 37-year-old Fairfield County man was killed during a two-vehicle crash. The collision occurred in Bridgeport on Thursday, Dec. 14 at Housatonic Avenue and Wells Street. Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport Emergency Management, said Bridgeport officers responded to the area and found a  man who driving an Italica motor scooter RX 150 on the ground. Scooter Rider Critically Injured In Hit-Run CT Crash, Police Say A Connecticut scooter rider suffered life-threatening when they were struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver. The incident took place in New Haven around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Officers responded to the intersection of Whalley Avenue and Amity Road and found the rider suffering from critical injuries, said Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police. Carr said the driver of the vehicle evaded the scene.  Officers searched for the evading vehicle without locating it. Scooter Driver Seriously Injured In Crash With Vehicle In Fairfield County, Police Say A scooter driver was seriously injured during a crash with a vehicle in Fairfield County. The crash took place around 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 29 at the intersection of Post Road East and Bulkle Avenue in Westport, said Lt. David Wolf. When police arrived on the scene, they found the scooter driver had collided with a vehicle and sustained serious injuries, Wolf said.
