Greenwich Saks Fifth Avenue $20K Grab-Run Theft: Woman At Rikers Island Charged A woman who allegedly stole more than $20,000 in merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue in Fairfield County in 2020 as part of a retail theft ring is behind bars. The grab-and-run theft took place in Greenwich on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at the Saks Fifth Avenue at 205 Greenwich Ave.  The theft included five suspects including Jessica Lane, age 34, of Newark, New Jersey, who was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Rikers Island in New York, by Greenwich Police on an extraditable warrant, said Lt. Woman Accused Of Altering Amount On Check Stolen In Fairfield County A woman has been charged with a criminal attempt of larceny after allegedly changing the amount on a check for more than it was written for. Jennifer Burgos, age 32, of the Bronx, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 10 at Rikers Island after being nabbed at JFK Airport. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, the original incident was reported in Darien on Friday, Aug. 19 when the victim told police she mailed a check from the USPS box at Corbin Drive and discovered that the checks were altered and cashed for a larger amount than the original checks.  An investig…
