A 34-year-old man faces drunk driving charges after failing to stay in his lane on a busy roadway in Fairfield County, police said. Norwalk resident Oscar Lemus-Salguero, age 34, was arrested after a Darien Police officer saw him allegedly cross the double yellow line while driving on Route 1 (Post Road) on Monday, July 31 around 5:45 a.m., according to Sergeant Dan Skoumbros. A man faces drunk driving charges after authorities caught him traveling with a shredded, burning tire in Fairfield County, police said. The arrest resulted from an incident on Tuesday, July 4 just before 3:20 a.m., when a Darien Police Department officer noticed a heavily damaged car driving on Post Road (Route 1). A famous drummer and rocker from the Talking Heads and his wife barely escaped being killed when they were hit by a wrong-way drunk driver in Fairfield County. Man Charged In Thefts At Separate Fairfield Businesses
A 59-year-old man from Bridgeport was arrested for a pair of thefts and trespassing after he allegedly stole a set of keys from a Fairfield County factory. Raymond Bridges was arrested this week following a complaint from the owner of Jelliff Corp. on Pequot Avenue, who reported that a set of keys from one of his employees had gone missing. While investigating the stolen keys, Bridges was caught on surveillance cameras walking through the factory shortly after the keys were reported missing, police said.
