A man was hospitalized after being pulled from a freezing river in Westchester on the Connecticut border, where he was discovered clinging to a dock. The incident happened on Sunday, Nov. 12 around 1 a.m., when authorities were told that someone needed help in the area of the Byram River on the border between Port Chester and the Fairfield County town of Greenwich. Police Searching For Suspect In Armed Robbery Of Area Gas Station
Police are looking for a suspect who they say was involved in an armed robbery of a gas station in Westchester County. It happened in Port Chester on Thursday, Oct. 13 around 7 p.m. at the BP gas station at 230 Boston Post Road (Route 1), police said. The suspect pointed a handgun at the store employee and demanded money before running away from the scene with an unknown amount of cash toward Olivia Street and possibly entering a dark-colored sedan, authorities said. Suspect In Greenwich Package Fraud Case Charged In Westchester
A man wanted by Greenwich police for fraudulently using another person's credit cards to make online purchases was nabbed in Westchester. Wai Chung Khoong, 38, of Brooklyn, was picked up at the Westchester County Jail by Greenwich Police on Thursday, Sept. 19, after he arrested on a warrant by Port Chester Police in New York, said Lt. Four Charged With Gun Trafficking, Drug Distribution In Riverside Area
Four men are facing federal charges for allegedly trafficking firearms and distributing crack cocaine in and around the southern border of Westchester and Fairfield counties. U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman and the FBI announced that Walter Jones, Frank Maxwell, Markel Calhoun and Jamar Calhoun have been charged with weapon and drug charges for alleged offenses that centered in Port Chester.
