Melaine Castro, age 21, of Bridgeport, was nabbed by the US Marshals on Thursday, July 14 in connection with the Saturday, May 28 murder of 30-year-old Marisol Dumeng.  After the homicide, Castro and the alleged killer Glenn Pettway Jr. fled the state and she assisted him as he made his way to Tennessee, said Det. The robbery happened Friday night, Nov. 20 at the Zales jewelry store inside the mall. Barricaded Man Found Dead In Bridgeport Basement After Shooting Ex-Girlfriend, Police Say A man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in the basement of a home following a standoff with police and the shooting of an ex-friend, Bridgeport Police said. The incident started around 8:32 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25, when police responded to the area of 250 Gilman St., in Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the department.
