Leonard C Boyle, acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Noe Castro, age 51, of Phoenix, Arizona, was sentenced Wednesday, Oct. 20. Police in Darien arrested Emmanuel Bazil, age 26, of Norwalk, on Friday, March 19, for the crime which took place in July 2019 in Darien, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri. Sales Person Going Door To Door In New Canaan Had Active Warrant In Wilton, Police Say A wanted woman was busted in Fairfield County when police were alerted about solicitors going door-to-door selling magazines. Officers from the New Canaan Police Department received a report shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 of salespeople selling in the 500 block of Weed Street. When officers responded to the area to dispatch the solicitors, it was determined that one of them, Phoenix resident Leslie Jean Carter, 33, had an active warrant out for her arrest following an incident in Wilton. Man Charged In Connection To Double-Fatal, Head-On I-95 Crash In December A Connecticut man has been taken into police custody in connection to a fatal head-on crash on I-95 in December last year, state police announced. Connecticut State Police said that Groton resident Jose Vicente Noriega-Gonzalez, 38, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 27, on a warrant for his role in the crash in Stonington on Dec. 16 last year that left two dead.
