CT Location Among 28 Macy's Store Closures Announced A Macy’s location in Connecticut is among more than two dozen being closed down nationwide, continuing the trend of traditional brick-and-mortar retailers shutting their doors. Just after Pier 1 announced plans to close nearly half its stores, Macy’s said that it will be closing at least 28 stores in the coming months, including the location in Meriden at the Westfield Meriden Mall. According to Macy’s, the location at the Westfield Mall will kick off a clearance sale by the end of January, which is expected to last two or three months.
