Tornado Touch Down Confirmed In NY A tornado touched down in the Hudson Valley region during a round of isolated, severe thunderstorms earlier this week.The National Weather Service in New York announced on Saturday morning, July 16 that a storm survey conducted in eastern Ulster County found that damage that occurred west of Kingston on Wednesday, July 13 was the result of both a macroburst (straight line winds) as well as an EF-1 tornado. Police: Fairfield Man Facing 125 Burglary Charges Found With Guns, Crossbow A 30-year-old Fairfield County man arrested in connection with a string of burglaries across New Jersey and New York was found with nine handguns, a crossbow, and a slew of other weapons and contraband following a multi-jurisdictional investigation, authorities said. Patrick Ryan, of Fairfield, was arrested Sunday morning, Jan. 24 and charged with a total of 74 counts of burglary to a motor vehicle and dozens of other offenses, Hardyston police said in release from the Sussex County Detectives Association.
