Trio Nabbed With Guns Following 'Targeted' Fairfield County Attack, Police Say Three men were charged and several guns were seized after a "targeted attack" led to several reports of shots fired in Fairfield County, police said. The incident took place around 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31 when Bridgeport Police responded to the 100 block of Park Street for a report of shots fired. The crash took place around 1:10 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, in Fairfield County at the intersection of Putnam and Park streets in Bridgeport, said Bridgeport Police Sgt. Darryl Wilson. Fairfield County Transgender Woman Shot In Face, Arm A local transgender woman shot in the face and arm is in serious, but stable condition, Bridgeport Police said.  The shooting took place around 2 p.m. Wednesday on Park Street, when the woman was targeted by a man she knows, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Officers found the woman, who was unable to speak due to a broken jaw from a bullet, on the 200 block of Park Street, Harris said. “Look like victim was targeted by suspect,” he said. “She knows him.” The woman is being treated at a local hospital. Man Struck, Killed By Car In Bridgeport An investigation has been launched after a male pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run Saturday night. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Park and Olive streets, said Av Harris, the City of Bridgeport's director of legislative affairs/public policy. The victim, whose identity has not been released pending notification to next of kin, was trapped underneath the vehicle, Harris said. The driver of the vehicle has been questioned by police. Man Who Impersonated Officer Committed Sexual Assault, Bridgeport PD Says A man was nabbed on Wednesday for impersonating a cop and then sexually assaulting a woman in a city garage, according to Bridgeport Police. Jorge Santiago, 42, of Derby was arrested on a warrant by Det.Walberto Cotto for an incident last July in an abandoned garage on Park Street, police said. During the attack, Det. Cotto said Santiago, who had possession of a police-type radio, a badge and, firearm pretended to be a Bridgeport Police Officer and sexually assaulted the young woman in the abandoned garage.
