Brown Cow Escapes From Yard In Trumbull, Goes For Walk A brown cow escapes its fencing in Fairfield County and decided to go for a walk, startling some residents. The great cow escape occurred in Trumbull around 10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7 near Old Town Road and Reservoir Avenue. The cow was bought earlier in the day at an auction by an area resident, said Lt. Brian Weir of the Trumbull Police. It was housed in a small barn, and when the owner went to check on it, the cow was gone. Elijah Page, age 17, of Bridgeport, was killed early Wednesday, July 14, when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a guard rail in Trumbull, authorities said. Teen Killed After Crashing Vehicle Into Guard Rail In Fairfield County, Police Say A 17-year-old has died after crashing his vehicle into a guard rail and then an abutment in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 14 in Trumbull. Police responded to the crash on Old Town Road after receiving multiple 911 calls, said Trumbull PD Lt. Brian Weir. When they arrived on the scene, they found the teen, of Bridgeport, and began rendering medical aid to him before he was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he died, Weir said. Heroin, Guns, Cash Seized In Trumbull Traffic Stop One man is behind bars after Trumbull Police recovered handguns, heroin and cash during a traffic violation stop. On Friday, Feb. 1 around 9 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Main Street near Old Town Road. The officer observed liquor bottles on the floor of the vehicle and an odor of marijuana. The driver, 21-year-old Hakeem Barclay of Bridgeport, had less than half an ounce of marijuana in his possession.
