The great cow escape occurred in Trumbull around 10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7 near Old Town Road and Reservoir Avenue. The cow was bought earlier in the day at an auction by an area resident, said Lt. Brian Weir of the Trumbull Police. It was housed in a small barn, and when the owner went to check on it, the cow was gone. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 14 in Trumbull. Police responded to the crash on Old Town Road after receiving multiple 911 calls, said Trumbull PD Lt. Brian Weir. On Friday, Feb. 1 around 9 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Main Street near Old Town Road. The officer observed liquor bottles on the floor of the vehicle and an odor of marijuana. The driver, 21-year-old Hakeem Barclay of Bridgeport, had less than half an ounce of marijuana in his possession.
