Five Escape After House Fire Breaks Out During Thunderstorm In Milford A family was able to escape their burning home without injury during a heavy thunderstorm in Milford. The fire was detected around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17 at the single-family home located at 295 Old Point Road, said Milford Fire Department Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizi. Man Chokes Victim During Argument In Milford, Police Said A Connecticut man allegedly choked his female victim during a domestic dispute, police said. Members of the Milford Police Department were dispatched to a home near the area of Old Point Road and Meadows End Road, where there was a report of a domestic violence incident where the man fled the scene after attacking his victim. Man Accused Of Engaging In Physical Altercations With Two Different Women Police arrested an area man on two warrants for allegedly getting into physical fights with two different women. Sean Cunningham, 25, of Milford was arrested Monday on charges of disorderly conduct, assault, criminal mischief and breach of peace for engaging in two physical altercations with two women inside an Old Point Road home. He is being held on $6,000 bond.
