CT Man Admits To Distributing Narcotics To Overdose Victim
A Connecticut man has waived his right to be indicted and admitted to selling drugs that led to the overdose of a 31-year-old woman who was under the influence of a slew of substances at the time of her death. Cheshire resident Thomas Halleran, 36, has pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to one count of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, heroin or fentanyl for his role in the fatal incident. Man Sentenced For Distributing Fentanyl To Fairfield County OD Victim
A West Haven man was sentenced to more than two years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl to a Bridgeport man who died after using the drug. John Rodriguez, 37, was sentenced on Friday, May 4 by U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in Hartford to 27 months of prison, followed by four years of supervised release. His victim overdosed on the drug in 2015. John H. Durham, U,S Attorney for the District of Connecticut, said the case stems from an ongoing statewide initiative targeting narcotics dealers who distribute heroin, fentanyl or opioids that cause death or serious injury to users.…
