Big Lots Expands Store Closures Amid Bankruptcy Filing: Here's CT Rundown Discount retail chain Big Lots has filed for bankruptcy as its list of planned store closures expands. It currently has around 1,425 stores nationwide. The company announced on Monday, Sept. 9 that it will sell its assets to an affiliate of private equity firm Nexus Capital Management. Massachusetts State Police issued a Silver Alert for 67-year-old Glynis Lanzetta, of Enfield, New Hampshire, who was last seen Saturday afternoon, Jan. 1 driving a green 2015 Subaru Forester with the NH plate 3927494 on Route 9 in the area of West Street in Hadley, heading in the direction of Northampton. Early Monday morning, Jan. 3, state police announced that she has been located.

Police Investigating After Man's Body Found In Connecticut River Police launched an investigation after a man’s body was found by a boater in the Connecticut River in Western Mass. The discovery in Hampshire County happened around 6 p.m., Friday, May 21, in the river in Northampton, said Laurie Loisel, director of Communications for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
