20-Year-Old Fairfield County Woman Dies After Being Shot, Police Say
A 20-year-old Fairfield County woman was shot and killed in New Haven.
The incident took place around 7:40 p.m., Saturday, May 15 at Sheffield Avenue, in the Newhallville neighborhood.
Responding officers located and secured the crime scene, New Haven PD Sergeant Shayna Kendall said.
A short time later, a 20-year-old woman was dropped off at Yale-New Haven Hospital by a private car, Kendall said.
The woman, a Bridgeport resident, was suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the hospital, Kendall added.
