Three people are behind bars after allegedly burglarizing cars in a supermarket parking lot in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Darien on Monday, April 22, around 4:30 p.m. at the Whole Foods Market at 150 Ledge Road. According to Lt. T.J. Woman Charged With Identity Theft For Using Credit Card Stolen In Fairfield County, Police Say
A 40-year-old woman is facing an identity theft charge after investigators reported that she used a credit card that was stolen from a vehicle in Fairfield County. Darien Police Department officers responded to Philadelphia on Tuesday, Aug. 30, to extradite Colleen Kane, who was being held on a fugitive from justice charge, the Darien Police Department said. Police said Kane waived extradition and was transported back to Darien. A pair of men are in police custody following a monthslong investigation into thefts from motor vehicles in restaurant parking lots. Bridgeport residents Jimmie Bennett, 51, and Alphonso Thompson, 53, were arrested this week following an “extensive investigation” that was launched by the Milford Police Department in October last year. A woman in Darien became the latest to have items stolen from an unlocked car in the area as opportunistic fraudsters continue taking advantage of area residents, police said. A Herman Avenue resident reported to police on Thursday, Jan. 10 that she had been the victim of a motor vehicle burglary over the holiday season. Boy, Girl Nabbed After Stolen Car Police Chase Ends On Route 7 Connector
Two teens who fled from a stolen vehicle were apprehended by officers after a police chase ended on the Route 7 connector in Fairfield County early Sunday morning. The police chase began after Wilton Police officers responded to a 911 call from an Old Huckleberry Road resident who reported several people were entering vehicles in the driveway.
