Covid-19: Bridgeport Hospital Opens 'Appointment Only' Testing Site Residents with a doctor's order can now receive a COVID-19 test at Bridgeport Hospital with the activation of a new collection center. The center is being opened as an effort to minimize Bridgeport Hospital’s COVID-19 exposure and to ensure proper testing of patients that have received a physician’s order, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport's Office of Emergency Management. ID Released For Roommate Shot, Killed In Bridgeport The victim of Bridgeport's most recent homicide has been identified. An unidentified man called the police around 10:13 a.m., Friday, Nov. 22 to confess that he had just shot and killed his roommate, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Officers responded to the home on Mill Hill Avenue, and found a 53-year-old man dead inside the first floor of the residence, Jones said. Suspect Calls Police, Admits To Stabbing Person Multiple Times In Bridgeport A person was stabbed multiple times on Mill Hill Avenue in Bridgeport, and the suspect called the police to admit to the crime. The attack took place around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, July 11, in the area of 140 Mill Hill Ave., said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. The victim suffered numerous stab wounds and was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, he said. The person who allegedly attacked the victim later called the police and admitted to the crime. The suspect was taken into custody. Jones said there was no additional information available, including the identity of either person…
