Person Struck By Train In Fairfield
Updated story: 43-Year-Old Fairfield Woman Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train On Easter Sunday There were hour-long delays on the Metro-North New Haven line after a person was struck by a train in Fairfield County. The incident happened early Easter Sunday afternoon, April 9 near the station in the town of Fairfield. The MTA has not yet released information on the person's condition. Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train In Fairfield County
An unidentified man was struck and killed by a Metro-North New Haven Line train near the downtown Stamford station early Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. The train had departed from Grand Central Station just before 6 p.m. Delays of a half-hour or more following the incident last for several hours. Circuit Issue Causes Delays On Metro-North
Update: Metro-North New Haven Line serve is now operating or close to schedule after earlier delays due to circuit issues. Original report: Metro-North customers are experiencing delays of 35 minutes or more on the New Haven Line late Monday afternoon. The delays are as a result of earlier circuit issues in the vicinity of Southport in Fairfield County. I-95 Reopens; Flooding Reported On Numerous Roadways
This story has been updated. A new round of thunderstorms with heavy downpours resulted in flooding throughout Fairfield County with a stretch of I-95 closed for a portion of the Thursday evening commute. The closure occurred southbound between Exit 15 and Exit 16 in Norwalk. The northbound side in that area had one lane open. The roadway reopened in both directions around 6 p.m. Shortly after, a vehicle stalled in the center lane, leading to new delays.
