Surveillance Helps Nab Fairfield County Man Wanted In Drive-By Shooting A Fairfield County man awaiting trial on assault charges has been arrested again in connection with an alleged shooting earlier this year. Dominique Jones, age 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 2, by the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force in connection with a shooting in February, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management. The shooting occurred on the city's west side near the intersection of Maplewood Avenue and Howard Avenue, Appleby said. Halloween Night Bridgeport Shooting Victim Dies A 28-year-old man has died after being shot six times on Halloween in an incident that also left a local mother of two dead. David Belle of Bridgeport died at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Tuesday night following numerous surgeries, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Child Struck By Car In Fairfield County Police are investigating after a small child was hit by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday at Park Avenue and Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
