Police Investigating Smash-Grab Burglary At CT Shop Police in Connecticut are investigating after a popular smoke shop was heavily damaged by a smash-and-grab robber. The incident took place in Hartford County around 4:20 a.m., Monday, Feb. 26 at the Land Smoke Shop at 722 West Street in Southington. According to Lt. Keith Egan of the Southington Police, a vehicle with several people inside drove into the building, causing significant damage, looted the inside of the building, and then fled. New Update: Threat Of Gun Violence At CT High School Unfounded, Police Say A threat of gun violence at a Connecticut high school has been deemed unsubstantiated, according to officials. The incident took place in Hartford County at Southington High School early Thursday, Oct. 26 in Southington. According to Lt. Keith Egan of the Southington Police, the school received a call with a threat of gun violence inside the school. The call originated from an out-of-state number.
