CT Teen Killed In Shelton Hit-Run Crash On Route 8, Others Seriously Injured A 14-year-old Connecticut girl was killed and two others were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Route 8 early Sunday morning, Jan. 12.  Chloe Ramsubhag, of Waterbury, was riding in a Honda Del Sol when for unknown reasons, an SUV crashed into the rear of the vehicle just after 12:30 a.m. near Exit 7, Connecticut State Police said. NY Contractor Nabbed For Home Repair Scam In Greenwich An inmate from the Hudson Valley is facing a host of new charges after being extradited to Fairfield County on an active arrest warrant that was out for his arrest for scamming his victims while posing as a contractor. Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to the Orange County Correctional Facility in Goshen on Friday, Nov. 30, to extradite Tuxedo Park resident Robert Karwowski, 43, who was wanted in the state of Connecticut. Family Of 20-Year-Old Who Died During Pancake Eating Contest Sues Sacred Heart University The family of a 20-year-old college student who choked to death during a pancake-eating contest at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield is filing a lawsuit against the school. Caitlin Nelson, a junior at the Fairfield County university, died last year on March 30 during the contest, which was a school-sanctioned event to raise money for charity. Her death was ultimately ruled an accident.
