This CT Pizza Spot Receives Rare Super High Score From Popular Pie Guru If you think you've found the perfect pizza spot in Connecticut, think again.  That's what pizza guru and Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy had to say after a stop in New Haven County where he visited The Little Rendezvous, a 120-year-old eatery in Meriden, this week. First Lady Jill Biden To Visit Connecticut The First Lady is coming to Connecticut. Jill Biden will be in Meriden on Wednesday, March 3 for a visit, the White House announced this week. It will mark the first time the First Lady has traveled to Connecticut since her husband took office in January. Meriden Mayor Kevin Scarpati issued a statement on Friday, Feb. 26 saying that the town is “thrilled” to welcome and host Biden. “We are honored in welcoming Dr. Biden into our diverse and inclusive community," he said. CT Location Among 28 Macy's Store Closures Announced A Macy’s location in Connecticut is among more than two dozen being closed down nationwide, continuing the trend of traditional brick-and-mortar retailers shutting their doors. Just after Pier 1 announced plans to close nearly half its stores, Macy’s said that it will be closing at least 28 stores in the coming months, including the location in Meriden at the Westfield Meriden Mall.
