A pair of Mexican nationals living in Fairfield County illegally have been sentenced in Bridgeport federal court for their roles in a drug trafficking operation that brought cocaine and methamphetamine to and from New York and Connecticut. Jaime Lopez, 37, and his brother, Rafael Lopez-Macias, 46, both citizens of Mexico last known to be living in Norwalk who were involved in drug trafficking have been sentenced in Bridgeport federal court, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced. Mexican National Admits To Drug Trafficking, Immigration Offenses In Fairfield County
A Mexican national who repeatedly illegally entered the country has admitted to his role in trafficking methamphetamine and other drugs from New York to Connecticut. Rafael Lopez-Macias, a citizen of Mexico last known to reside in Norwalk, has pleaded guilty in Bridgeport district court to narcotics trafficking and immigration offenses, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced. Greenwich Man Nabbed In Jail For Stealing Wallet Two Years Ago
A Greenwich man was nabbed by Greenwich Police at the Westchester County Jail on an outstanding warrant for ripping off a wallet out of a car. Cesar Salazar-Duque, 30, was picked up at the Westchester County Jail, where he was being held on another charge, on a warrant for stealing a wallet in 2016 and using the credit cards inside, said Greenwich Police.
