The incident took place in Norwalk around 10:15 p.m., Monday, May 8 at 2 Cossett Road, said Deputy Chief of the Norwalk Fire Department Steve Shay. The incident took place around 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18 when the two made their way inside the apartment at 455 Hope St., to evict the man, said Assistant Chief Rich Conklin, of the Stamford Police. Officials say they believe a hoarding condition inside the apartment helped fuel the flames. A newly released Harris Interactive/Toluna survey found that 70 percent of consumers are still buying their groceries in person, rather than utilizing online delivery options. In total, 1,047 people were polled between Thursday, April 9 and Monday, April 14. One Person Hospitalized Following Fire At Two-Family Residence In Bridgeport One person was hospitalized following a kitchen fire at a two-story, two-family residence in Bridgeport. The call for the fire came in around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at 54 Ives Court, said Bridgeport Fire Assistant Chief Rich D'Onofrio. When firefighters arrived they found a kitchen fire on the second floor which seemed to be fueled by natural gas, the chief said. The one resident of the home was outside when the department arrived on the scene and was suffering from either smoke inhalation or a brunt throat, officials said.
