225-Year-Old Historic CT Home Destroyed In Fire: 'A Work Of Art Is Gone' A historic Connecticut home built in 1800 went up in flames Sunday morning, Feb. 23, killing several cats and displacing a family, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to the 6,000-square-foot 139 Hartford Road home in Manchester just before 1 a.m. Crews from multiple companies battled the blaze for 40 minutes before getting the flames under control, Manchester authorities said.  No one was injured, but the home was left uninhabitable. Man Steals Vehicle With Sleeping 9-Year-Old CT Girl In Backseat, Police Say A 9-year-old Hartford girl sleeping inside a vehicle stolen from a Connecticut gas station has been reunited with her mother. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at the Shell Gas Station located at 404 Hartford Road in Manchester, said Lt. Ryan Shea of the Manchester Police Department.
