Winning $825,000 Lottery Ticket Sold At CT Convenience Store
A winning lottery ticket valued at $825,000 was sold at a Connecticut store.
An unnamed Massachusetts resident, from Worcester, claimed the "$1,000,000 Emeralds" prize from a ticket sold in Windham County, Connecticut Lottery announced on Monday, Aug. 22.
The ticket was purchased in the town of Thompson at the XtraMart, located at 9 Woodstock Ave., CT Lottery said.

Wanted Alleged CT Bank Robber Nabbed
A woman who was on the run after robbing a Connecticut bank has been captured by police.
The robbery occurred in New Haven County around 12:45 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in Hamden at the Connex Credit Union, at 2100 Dixwell Ave.
Hamden police responded to the bank and learned the suspect, identified as Natalie Medor, age 36 of Hamden, had entered the credit union and passed a note to the bank teller demanding money, said Det. Sean Dolan, of the Hamden Police.
No weapons were displayed and no one was injured.

CT Man Shot During Carjacking, Police Say
A Connecticut man was shot multiple times during a carjacking.
The New Haven County incident took place in Hamden on Third Street near Dixwell Avenue around 6 a.m., Thursday, July 21.
Officers responding to a report of shots fired, located a victim with gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. The victim, a 46- year-old male from Hamden, was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further medical treatment, said Det. Sean Dolan, of the Hamden Police.
The condition of the victim, who was not identified, is unknown at this time, Dolan said.

CT Man Charged With Mailing Threatening Letters To Journalists, Judges, Public Figures
Federal authorities have charged a Connecticut man for the fourth time with mailing threatening letters to journalists, judges, and other public figures.
New Haven County resident Garrett Santillo, age 43, of Hamden, was arrested on Wednesday, July 6, on a federal criminal complaint charging him with mailing numerous threatening letters to individuals in Connecticut and elsewhere.
